What a wonderful site!!!
I'm sooo glad to be here.
My question is....Can I receive signal on either 110 or 119
without the multi dish switch attached? Is it possible to by-pass
that switch while waiting for a replacement?
Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Karina, It would be more helpful if u could give more information. What recivers you have etc What dish Lnbs etc

if you only have 119 and 110 and just one dish, the "eyes" on that dish is your switch, so unfortunately if that is the case you would be stuck, unless when on the 015 screen, you pull up your menu, then go to guide, and try a few channels ...you may get lucky that way

It sounds like Karina has an external switch which might mean separate LNBs (more details would save us from having to guess). If that's the case, yes you can run the line to the receiver directly from one of the LNBs.

I have a dish 500 with dual lnb's
Switch is outside on the satellites post.
All is easy to get to. I have clear line of sight
(no obstructions) and am quite good a pointing
the darn thing. EEKKK LOTS of practice.!!!
Error code 015 lists Satellite as "Default"
runs through all transponders with Zip response.
No Progress
If I have to watch one more of my nieces school plays
(on dvd) I may go bananas...he he he:eek:

I just read that dual is not the same as twin.
I have twin...one "eye"?? for each sat right?
An LNB is the "eye" that views one satellite. A Dual is 1 LNB with 2 outputs. A Twin has 2 LNBs and a switch in a 6" wide housing. The link in my sig has a more detailed explanation and picture of each.

Troubleshooting steps are at DISH Network - Tech Portal, find your receiver, then Select Error found under Troubleshooting in the left column.
