Dish and ExpressVU together

I have questions about a setup that I want go get.

First of all I am currently a Dish subscriber using a DISH 500 with a 508 on my main TV and also 301 on a second.

I would like to get an ExpressVu system (ie 3100) to complement this mainly so that I can get curling, CFL coverage and of course my home town hockey team if the NHL comes back anytime soon.

My questions are as follows:

1) I need info on CDN Brokers, as I would like to see what cost are like for the system using their broker services. Being that all my family and friends are back home (Edmonton), I may be able to use one of their addresses and take care of the subscription myself, however depending on the broker costs I may stick with that option just for convenience sake.

2) Do I need to install two different satellites or can I get away with an elliptical dish that spans 91, 110, and 119 and still get each of the provider's signal to reach the appropriate receiver?

I think that is all for now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you can use the Canadian address, I would. Get setup on auto CC pay and don't worry about the bills. Brokers run between 50-110 a year

You would need a 2nd dish or an eliptical one to get 91 along with 110/119. Honestly, the 2nd dish would be easier. You didnt list your location, and the reason I say that is some transponders don't reach to the borders (california, Arizona, Texas, etc) so you might be out of luck with those. Another option would be StarChoice too

The only glitch would be the time on the receiver. Most brokers (at least the one I would recommend) are in the Eastern time zone, and obviously you know Edmonton is in Mountain.

So you'd be in the same boat as me for the time thing (I'm in Minneapolis). I just set my VCR that is hooked to my SC system to Eastern

Thanks again Iceberg. One more question if you don't mind. Does the broker you use offer sales of equipment only? I am not sure how easy it would be to get a system shipped down by one of my friends or family, and I am not planning a trip up to Canada anytime soon. Of course it would also not be a huge deal if I wait until someone comes down for a visit or I do decide to make a trip up.

KuSat will send the shipment to you. Tell them the address that you'll have it registered to.
You will also need a phone number for the account to be activated. If you have Vonage or Broadvox, you can add a virtual Canadian number, I believe Vonage has Edmonton numbers.
Once you have your account number (will be on the first bill), you can then setup for online access to the account to setup email billing, online account changes, online PPV, etc...

If you had a 105 superdish you could potentially strap a LNBF onto it but I agree a separate dish would probably be better, probably a dish 500 so you can get both 91 and 82.

The topic title on this thread made me wonder of an idea.
I have a few rooms that I wouldn't mind both Dish and Bell in, but there is only one coax going to the bedrooms, and I really don't want to break into the walls to run another. I have both in the LivingRoom, but that was simple as the entertainment center is right about the part of the basement that I run the cable lines from and I just drilled a hole in the floor behind the entertainment center.
Could a DPP-44 be used as such:
Using only Dishpro recievers.
Input 1 - 91 (Bell)
Input 2 - 82 (Bell)
Input 3 - 119 (Dish)
Input 4 - 110 (Dish)
Then in the room, use an "A-B switch" to select with reciever is on the coax for that leg.

In ideas as to whether this would work?
