DISH and cable in the same room....

Is it possible to run a DISH signal and a cable signal through the same coax? Has anyone tried this? It would be a lot easier than running another piece of coax to that room.......any advice would be appreciated.

Yes you can you need diplexers on both ends to do this.

No, it's not difficult. If you have HSI with your cable company, you must buy diplexers rated 5-2200 Mhz. Don't buy the ones rated 40-2200 Mhz. The upstream frequency is usually below 40 Mhz so it won't work.

I did this today with my off air ant. and it worked like a charm.

I also bought a "satellite Finder" to point my dish ($22) and it too worked like a charm - no talking to a friend vis cell-phones checking on the signal below.
