Currently I have the following setup:

722K in family room with HD output
SD signal from tuner 2 shared with living room and master bedroom
There is also a coax cable from the family room to the living room to extend the antenna for the UHF remote

I would like to have HD tuner 1 output in the living room
SD signal from tuner 2 shared with the family room and master bedroom

The cables outside of the house are very confusing with the splitters and old DirecTv cables. Do you have any suggestions on how to make this change?

Come from your dish should be two lines to a ground block then from there they will feed to a little splitter looking block called a diplexer. One port says Sat and is comnected to the satellite feed from the ground block. Another says input/output and that will run to your 722 receiver the last one will say UHF/VHF and this one feeds your SD pictures that you can split to your tv2 locations using most standard splitters

Hi,

I am uploading pictures ....

The splitter has two outputs that currently go to the SD rooms. The bottom output connection on the splitter is going to the room that I want to move the 722 receiver to.

The diplexer has the SAT output on the bottom connection. This connection looks like it is going to the 722's current location.

I tried switching the bottom connection on both the splitter I diplexer. I was expecting this to send the SAT signal to the old SD room and to send the SD singal to the old HD room. I also moved the 722 to the old SD room.

When I turned on the receiver it could not find a signal. I did the check switch and it came up with a message that I have fewer satellites available. It warned me not to save or I will lose channels. I cancelled the check switch routine.

I switched the cables back and put the 722 back in the original room. Everything is the same as before and I am ready to try again. :)

Any suggestions? What did I do wrong?

?Thanks!

Ok pretty simple here.... find the Living Room cable coming out of the Splitter(bottom from what you are saying) on the left and put it into the IN connection of the diplexor which is the red looking splitter device on the right.

Now you have the Family room connection freed up so just connect it into the splitter (red box on left) that you now have an open out port for.

That should do it as long as the cables are rated higher than 2250Mhz as in the cable going to the Living Room where the receiver will be located now.

Just make sure when you move it you move the Triplexor or the diplexor/seperator combo behind the receiver with it and hooked up as it was before.

no prob... just make sure you snug tightened those connections back and that the cables are coming out from the connections and going downward so water won't run down into them. I don't like that little mini cable between the splitter and diplexor at all too it should have come out did a full loop then back into the other but meh whatever.
