I have three 6.3 Dish remotes. I programm the "SAT" for my 722 and the "AUX" for my Bell 5100. Think this is the only remote that will allow you to program the "AUX" key for another receiver. I am constantly have to replace batteries usually less than a month. I have several other Dish remotes 6.0 etc that I use for other receivers they last for several months. Dish has sent me replacement 6.3 remotes but they all seem to have the same short battery life. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Thanks.

Is this remote the IR TV1 or UHF TV2? UHF uses more juice and it is common for them to drain quickly. Get some good rechargeables like Sanyo Eneloops.

Yes they are but most just refer to them as UHF Pro.

I was just trying to point out when you asked the OP if his remote was UHF or IR that being a 6.x it was UHF.
I'm using a 6.3 for IR.;)

And in IR mode it is STILL sending a UHF (not Pro) signal.

I have tested this with a uhf receiver model 6000.

Will 1000.4 reveiver work off of 110 and 119?

Advice on switches to use for legacy LNB's for 110, 119 & 129
