I did a search and did not find a situation like this. I might have my term wrong though. Anyway here is my question. Thinking about dish but I have a metered phone. Meaning I can only make 25 outgoing calls per month. Will the 522 count against this number and cause an increase in my bill? Thanks.

Welcome eon!

The unit only dials out when you make a PPV purchase or maybe once a month to update stuff. Since the number is a toll free, that usually doesnt count towards your metered service.

I use to work for a telephone company and toll free calls and long distance calls never went towards LMS (local measured service).

Thanks Iceberg.

Dish it is then! I'm pretty excited since I've never owned a dvr before. Was thinking about Directv but it couldn't beat the price.

a DVR is cool! I have had Dish for 4 years and got a DVR in April and it is so awesome!
-see your own instant replays
-record a long show or movie without worrying about if the VCR will record it or do you have enough tape :)
