DISH 522 DVR glitches and even stops

I have a DISH 522 DVR.... it was great for many months and just the last month or so.. I have SO many glitches (the old picture pixel problems).. and sound dropouts.. some of which are so bad the sound doesn't even return unless I pause and then hit play again.. and sometimes it even STOPS dead.. after a sound and pixelation glitch the picture just freezes until I advance it by skipping 30 seconds.

Is this due to a recent software update? Or is my unit going bad?

First thing to try is unplug the receiver from AC power let it reset and see if it cures the problem. Second would be make sure it shuts off at some time during the day so it will take any available software down loads. If this dosen't cure the problem call tech support and probably arrange for a replacement 522.

So none of you (with a good unit) have anymore pixelization, sound dropouts, and all those old headaches everyone use to complain about a year or two ago?
