Dish 500 to ati tuner?

I do not know if this will work so here goes, I want to run a cable from my Lnb to my ati all in wonder tuner card on the pc to record what ever I want to. What do I need to accomplich this? I did hook the receiver from the tv 2 out to the pc but did not get any signel.Any help will be welcome. Thanks

you definitely need a receiver, connect the TV out port to the tuner card, it should get signal on whatever channel the receiver is outputting to.

You cannot connect a PC (ATI Wonder or otherwise) to the Dish satellite system and record directly. Gotta do it Pepper's way.

TV2 out? ViP622? If so, is it in dual mode? Or leave it in single but connect to one of the TV1 outputs- all TV1 outputs are live at the same time so you can tap off all of them.
