Ok guys, this neophyte needs help in first grade language.

From Dish, I've just purchased an additional 500 dish and 311 receiver for
my travel trailer. The nose of the dish (I think yall call this the lnb) is
dual and molded in plastic. On one side it has 119 and 110 on the other
side. There are two places to attach cable. I've attached a cable to
the 119 side and get reception from that satellite.

Do I need the sw21 to get the 110 satellite??

Thanks,

Tadpole

No other equip needed. You have a twin LNB. It has built in switches, so each port is capable of sending 110/119 down it. Since you have only 1 rec, just hook it directly to port 1, run check switch, activate rec and you're good to go. Assuming that you have the dish peaked.

What viquenteur said.

Plus, it's possible that you have the 110 "eye" of your Twin (not dual) pointed at 119.

Considering that this is a portable installation, if that's not the issue now, it's only a matter of time before you do see it. ;)

Keep some tinfoil handy to cover the 110 "eye" while you're aiming, with the receiver set in Point Dish and loking for 119.

And of course, don't forget to change the skew when moving from place to place. :)
