I have a Dish 500 DP+ that I'm hooking up to a single DVR 110. There are two outs on the 119 side. I've tried both but can't connect to the satellite. I tried tech support. They said I needed a separator with a cable from both outs into a single cable to the DVR. I tried buying a separator and they said you can't use it in reverse going from two cables to one. I have the dish on a tripod with a satellite finder. It's gettin power through the cable. I would appreciate any help to get this hooked up before the end of the French Open!

I'm not sure about that model, I've never even heard of it. If it's a legacy unit it may not be enough to power a dpptwin (sounds like that's what you have, 2 outputs, 1 LNB in port?) And what you would need to combine 2 satellite signals isn't a seperator it's a switch, maybe SW21?

Give more information about your equipment and I'll take a stab at your issue

LNBF type (dp+ what?) Receiver model number (110? are you sure?) and make sure of the out/in on the LNBF

The equipment is a Dish 500 and on the beam it says DP+ digital LNBF

Yes

It is possible the lnb has a built in switch, did you run a Check Switch?

I ran a check switch and it said "Problem detected, check connections." The com 1 & 2 have +Twn and Com 3 says N.C. Polarity has "X" on all three.

Low signal on Tuner 1, not Tuner 2
