Dish 500+ 118.75 question

This is going to be a book but going to type it all out so you understand the whole story..

Call dishnetwork to upgrade to HDTV. They sent a guy out and he said dont think I can put up a super dish.. probably goign to hit the tree(I do have one big tree back there). So he put up one dish at 61.5.. So I have that and another dish 500 with 110 and 119. My HD locals are on 118.75 (st. louis). Call Dish back and they said they tech that came out said there was a tree blocking the 118.75!

Here is my question.. Doesnt the dish 500+ for 110, 118.75, 119 point the same azimuth as the Dish 500 110, 119 or close to it? Im in zip 63389.. Best I have found out is right now Im pointing at about 215 azimuth.. and a dish 500+ would be 219ish.

Anyway the tree I was talking about is at a 250 azimuth from dishes. I think the tech was just being lazy really. He was in a hurry and wanted to get out of here. Any info would be great!!.. sorry about the long message. thanks.

Unless you're ALREADY experiencing problems with the 119, the installer probably got lazy and freaked out on you. The 118.7 has almost the exact same AZ and EL as the 119. It should be just a simple matter of replacing the dish, putting some struts to the mast (reinforcement) and putting a DPP33.

can get 119 but not 118.75??? Boy that must be a heckuva line of site issue

118.7 is between 119 and 110, its real close to 119. If line of sight was an issue, that tech had no business putting up even a 500 dish.
