Dish 1000 Not Available?

My installer has informed me that dish 1000 is not yet available. Is this true? Reading all of the posts out there, I assumed that it was.

DIsh 100's are available and have been for a long time.

WHen I got Dish Network last week, the Dish 1000 is what they installed....

Just speculating here, but if he has an installer at his house who said D1000 isn't available, it may be that the customer lives in an area that is not listed as a D1000 DMA. I operate near Atlanta, which still draws the locals from 61.5 and the only time we install a D1000 is for Voom.

I live near Toledo Ohio, I do not have a look angle to 61.5, but do have one to 129. The Voom chanels are what I am looking for.

Voom is on 129 which would require the D1000. I'd call Dish or your retailer and explain you want Voom. Voom is the only reason I keep Dish 1000's in stock.

VOOM is also available on 61.5

Thanks, everyone. Just got off of the phone with a Dish CSR, they will install a dish 1000 for $59. Guess that is all I need.
