It's been years since I replaced a 722 earc due to failure. I think what I was told to do was go to point dish and do a check switch, then everything downloaded. I'm sure, if I am wrong, someone will correct me.
The receiver will never have the setup valves of a DPP 1000.2, only for a DPP 500.

I need help, please. I bought a Dish VIP 211z with a Winegard tailgater for use in my RV. Works fine. When not in the RV, I moved the Vip211z into the house, and have it hooked up to a Dish 500 with a Dish Pro Plus LNB. Currently I get 119 and 129 with this setup. I bought the dishes and the LNB's from a third party - a Dish 1000 and the Dish 500 along with the Dish Pro Plus and Dish Pro Single LNB. I would like to use the Dish 1000 instead which has a mount for the Dish Pro Plus and the Dish Pro Single and is marked 110, 119, and 129. I assume that I would connect the Dish Pro Single to the LNB In port on the Dish Pro Plus LNBF.
I plan to only use one receiver, the VIP 211z in the house.
Questions are: 1) My Dish 1000 just says Dish 1000 on it. It is grey. Is this different than a Dish 1000.2? Does it matter?
2) Should the setup above work with the VIP 211z receiver? Power requirements for three LNB's? Is a switch needed somewhere in this configuration?

You have 2 Dish 1000 dishes. 1000.2 and 1000.4. Each has a western arc LnB and eastern arc LnB. The most common for both currently is the 1000.2 WA or 1000.2EA. There is a 1000+ but I am guessing that is not what you have(it's for internationals). Take a picture of what you have, and we will tell you what you have.
The DPP 1000 dish had a dual and a single LNBF heads and is the equivalent of a DPP 1000.2 in function. There is a cable from the left side of the single LNBF to the In port of the dusl LNBF (right port). You connect the VIP 211z to Port 1 of the dish (the left port on the dual LNBF) and you are ready to go, after aiming the dish.

The dish 1000 was the first generation of HD dishes for the Western Arc it is smaller than the 1000.2 and 1000.4 so it will get a lower signal. Mine works adequately I have had no reason to upgrade to a larger dish.
I also used to use the original Dish 1000. What I liked about it was that I could use a Twin or Quad LNB in the 110/119 slots and re-aim the dish for Bell Expressvu at 82/91. By adding a legacy single LNB to the 129 slot, I could also pick up Directv at 101. (I call this configuration "Central Arc.") So, I had a single dish solution for two different providers, neither of them Dish. I think that is why Dish stopped making the Dish 1000 this way.
