Dish 1000.2 Hybrid and a 211k?

Greetings,

I recently graduated up to a Hooper 3 with one Joey. When the Hooper was installed, the installer installed a 1000.2 Dishpro Hybrid triple LNBF using the #1 port in the LNB with the #2 open. I’m wondering if it is possible to install a 211k using the second port in the LNB. I appreciate any insight.

Unfortunately, no. Port 2 gets disabled in this scenario.

You would need to add a second dish for the 211 or change the LNB to a DPP+ and add a DPH 42 switch for it all to work.

Thanks guys. I kinda thought it was going to be a challenge and wanted to avoid putting up a new dish. I’m not sure if the Dish Pro plus is a new one. How would I know?

Sorry but no. If a Hopper 3 is connected to port #1 of a Hybrid LNB then port #2 is disabled.

I’m grasping at straws here but could you hookup the Hooper to port 2 and use port one for the Wally?

No. The only port a Hopper 3 will work on is port #1. Your only solutions are either a separate dish for the 211K or Wally or a DPH42 and a DPP LNB.
