Is a diseqc switch necessary if only using one lnbf and 1 receiver (coolsat Pro 4000)?
Got receiver free and intend to get a motorized dish from sadoun with sg-2100 motor. Read some of the posts on diseqc but am confused about it. Seems to be different answers.
Can someone help me? This is all new to me.

No, it's not necessary with one lnbf.

The only time a 2 way DiSEqC switch would be needed with one LNBF is if its an Invacom QPH-031 LNBF and you want to get both the Circular and Linear signals up there!
