Disapointed Traxis DBS-3500 owner

hello, I'm sad to report I liked everything about the Traxis DVB-3500 but the finding out the unit won't pass AC-3 audio through either the coax or optical digital ports on the rear of the unit. Why put those connectors on the back if they won't pass the AC-3 audio like one would expect them to do? What good are the ports on there anyway? I can't get mine to pass nothing to my Dolby Digital Decoder. Would've loved to keep this unit, but might have to return it for something that passes AC-3 audio. Need to get sound from "The Tube"

I would contact your dealer and ask about the software patch that will make AC3 audio work

you mean there is just a software patch that will make this thing pass the digital audio so I can receive the audio from PBS and other AC-3? If that's true thanks, I'll call tomorrow and first ask nice for it. Thanks again. Chad
