i have 10mps dl with comcast so it does make a difference. i think you'll find it to be worth the extra$$. are you connected directly to your router or are you wireless or maybe you're using a powerline adapter?

Powerline to the HR20. Ive seen it stated that DOD is capped around 5 or 6mbps, so Im hoping to improve it a bit.

On another note, I sure hope these movies come in at OAR. After seeing the Dish guys say their 1080p I Am Legend was full screen, Im a little worried.

I downloaded the CE last weekend but still can't see channel 1080 on my HR20-100. Maybe it makes a difference if you have an HR20-700 vs HR20-100?

Its 1.8, which is basically full. We'll have to see how a 2.4 shows up.

A 1.8:1 ratio is still not 16x9, so if the set has no overscan (most plasma panels can be set at zero overscan), one can still find out if it is OAR or not, if not, full screen, if OAR, two very thin black strips should be visible on the top and the bottom.

But I want to confirm this one more time with anyone who could download this 1080p movie, do I have to have the CE version in order to do the download?

"full screen" usually refers to 4:3 and this was in a widescreen format for my D/L of the Bucket List which took about 1hr 50mins or so.

I think everyone involved understood that fullscreen, when discussing HDTV and 1080p, meant full screen 16x9. It's not so complicated that you have to brow beat us with terminology.

Well no one is "browbeating" you so why take it there?

Just trying not to confuse normally used terms; because FOREVER in the display/disc world "fullscreen" always means 4x3; so why re-use a term like that and create any confusion?

full = 4x3 and widescreen means just that.
