DirecTv Subs I need help with MGM HD

I saw a movie on MGM HD - "Flowers in the Attict". It was not encoded dd5.1. Is this how you guys are receiving the signal from MGM with no dd5.1?

Yes, I don't believe their audio is 5.1 for any of their movies.

I have never watched any movies on that channel so if that is true, that is just crazy.

Most older movies are not 5.1 so it's not crazy.

Well. I checked all the recording today of their movies. Nothing dd5.1. Even if the film is old there is a way to provide dd5.1 at the source. Hdnet movies does this all the time. Why MGM studios does not do it, it is quite surprising and dissapointing.

It is not a Dish thing. We here with Direct also do not get any audio in 5.1 on MGMHD.
