If I want to see a movie I will see it when it's in the theater (preferably the drive in), so the movie channels mean squat to me, and as a DWM with my daughter, married with her own household, I would be more than happy to have an all HD package from D*.

I don't speak Spanish though, D*. i want my premium movie channels in HD NOW! going to the theater is too much of a hassle and too expensive. and no way I'd ever buy a PPV movie. I noticed Verizon Fios has 70 premium movie channels in HD. keep up this lack of premiums in HD and I might switch if they ever get here. hopefully i won't be forced to buy out my D* contract either.

Do you know if your area will get FiOS or U-Verse? I don't believe any area will get both. My area will eventually get U-Verse instead of FiOS and by all account, FiOS is the superior service. U-Verse's biggest problem is the limited number of active video streams one can have and when more streams get added, PQ will suffer since there is a cap on the available bandwidth that can come into house from U-Verse. I don't believe FiOS has this problem and U-Verse's current limit is not enough to cover the amount of active streams I require.

Bring the Chinese programming off of the world dish lnbs and I'll be happy with international programming.

we were supposed to get U-Verse a year ago but still nothing. Comcast is probably blocking them because that's their anti-competitive, monopolistic modus operandi.
