wow. i still don't understand why so many people are so upset over this. D did exactly what they said their were gonna do. we need to chill and relax. we will get the channels and we will continue to be the leaders in HD baby.

I guess its like getting told you're getting clothes for Christmas. You convince yourself that its just false and your getting a nice new plasma tv. Then when you open the box, you get pissed because its clothes and not a tv, even though you were told it was clothes 100 times.

Having 18 PPV channels is not "wasting bandwidth" because they dont have anything else to add right now. When they decide to sign other channels, the PPV's will come down.

Theres 4 billion and 1 for the group that's still failing reading comprehension.

People are pissed because they see ppv hd up, when we all know full well that it could be used for something else instead. People would have probely been pleased with place holders so that way we know what were getting.

Only D* know's as well as the providers. I cant say if they dont or if they do, but they certantly have had plenty of time to iron some out.

I would love these channels up and running now as well. But I also would like for them to do it right. Again, PPVs are only temporary. Satracer even said so a couple of weeks ago.

Some of these contracts have specific launch dates as well, which is why we are not seeing them yet (hinted by those with inside knowledge on DBStalk).

It is a public forum and as a supporter and member of this board I can discuss what ever topic I wish to. It is still a free country last time I looked. So Any satellite issues or additions by EITHER sat company, I will discuss If I want to.

It was posted last night at the other site that FSN Ohio, FSN Florida and FSN Cincinnati would be delayed. No reason was given and no time frame when they would show up was mentioned either.

Originally in the press release it was announced that FSN Ohio, FSN Florida, and FSN Cincinnati would be part of the many RSNs going 24/7 HD. Unfortunately those three will not be ready to launch 8/14 with the other channels scheduled to go HD at 6:00am ES
These three RSNs will still broadcast games in HD as they have been doing for many months. No timetable has been announced on when they will go 24/7 HD.

They said exactly what they are going to do. The listed these exact channel in their PR and said they would be converting 12 RSNs to full time and adding PPVs. Why would you expect anything else and be disappointing when they did exactly what they said they were going to do?

At least D* gives thier customers the option to subscribe to the two packages you mentioned vs. E* where the owner has decided that you don't need them.

Mike I did not know you just dropped D*, did you have to pay early cancellation fee?

I still love D* but like you said the HR21s get me into trouble now because my wife cannot tolerate the slow remote action, she wanted to go back to the 622s, which was partly why I added E* back on with a 722 and the $29.99 HD Absolute pack right before E* stopped offering the pack two weeks ago.

But I am not cancelling D* because E* MPEG4 HDs are now all downrezzed after they "turbo-charged" my 722 a week ago. Before the turbo charge I was actaully thinking I may call D* to drop them, but now I will wait and see.

D* adding Travel Channel HD and all HBO/Starz HD suit, and many other new HDs out there will do a lot to keep me with them.

Hey , Enjoy ! More power to you guys. If I thought High priced sports packs were my thing ,I'd still have D*. But I don't have time to watch 30 RSNs. I care about 1 Football Team, and RSN's do no good for that. College I got Big Ten HD and ABC HD. Thats good too!
