Directv receiver

I have a Directv receiver model #9900 and everyday at 5:00P.M. it upgrades or resets itself. What is the problem with this receiver and what can I do to correct this problem.

I'm sorry but a 9900 dosen't ring any bells please furnish more information like brand and how old it is?
