directv on demand:error 62

I have been on the phone with tech support, he did not know about this error or how to fix it.
When connecting the HD DVR, I used an ethernet cable from the satellite receiver (port 1) to the d-link router in port 1. I have the router (ethernet port) connected to the modem port 1. This is all connected to a phone line. My laptop works wirelessly and hardwired to this setup. My TV says i am online but not connected to the internet...what am I missing? It just keeps returning with error 62 when I try to connect to the net via setup guide on the Directv remote...
HELP!!
