Will these negotiations ever bring about the local sub channels to DirecTV?

Unless the sub channel is a major local (like top 6 - the big 4, CW, and MY), it is unlikely DirecTV will agree to carry sub channels.
In nearly all markets they have shown no interest in sub channels unless it is a local that is in most markets nationally (like CW for example is a sub channel in some markets and carried by Directv in some cases).

In the DFW area I currently get DirecTV FOX and NBC local channels on my GS5 cell. Sure wish they would add ABC, WFAA and CBS, KTVT. Any news on these major sub channels? By the way, very useful website.

If you have the DirecTV app, and a Genie HR44 or HR54, you already get them through Mobile DVR.
