I sent an inquiry up to their communications office, see if we can get some kind of actual idea of what happened. This lockup appears to be very widespread.
I am runnning the national release also, no C.E.
I cant wait to see what the actual problem is. As of now, D* says (as Rad posted) that they didnt do an update last night. Some are saying its possibly bad guide data? That would be odd
I didnt either at first. But then the mroe I thought about it, it was just different. I have never had mine completely freeze up like that. I could hear the hard drive running, but no responses, and no lights on until after I unplugged it.Sounds like the same as a virus to me. I didn't think too much of it as I have to reboot every once in a while.
I wonder if some of these things being erased are more to do with some posters doing a hard reset versus a RBR. Could that cause a person to lose favorites and recordings? Not something I have heard of, but possible?
I didnt either, but I will as soon as I can. I know some that said they lost them were running external drives, but I saw a couple that said it was on the internal.Could. I have done a hard rest several times since I have hd my 21 but have never lost data. Favorites or recordings. I did not check today if recordings were still there on my hard drive (internal).
Has anyone had any problems a few hours after they reset it? Did you have to do it again? I havent been home to check
