When will we be getting new national HD channels? It seems like forever since we have seen any new national releases. Any word on if and when we will see any new channels?

You address an issue about which I was about to create a thread.

DirecTV is nothing special anymore. In terms of what it carries in HD. Competitors caught up. And there's no excuse for being indifferent and failing to bring in the likes of AMC HD, WGN America HD, and a slate of premium networks' HD (outside Showtime and Starz/Encore).

I anticipate tokenism will be all we get for another year. I don't believe DirecTV will bring in anything outside locals and sports.

Nah, I moved into an MDU DirecTV apartment that has no HD yet. It's terrible. I don't want to move though because it really is a fantastic location and everything else is great here. Just the HD
