Actually a question: can I use the dish network antenna( dish+LNB) to receive Direct TV signal. I just switched to Direct TV and have the Dish Network dish available.

If it is an older E*(Dishnetwork) dish with legecy Lnb's, Yes, but you will only get 1 satellite, newer D*(Directv) equipment gets either 3 or the latest 5 satellites and you will need one of those dishes to really take advantage of and get the most from your system...
