Colorimeter and spectro are two different things, and both are used to calibrate displays. Colorimeters are "typical" for amateurs like myself (I own a D3 Pro and Chromapure), but spectro's are more typical for a pro who charges you $$$. Spectro's are usually reference instruments, colorimeters are not.
