only if you sub to a package that does not include them (like Entertainment)

and that's why I'm coax-cutting DIRECTV at the end of my 24-month agreement. Choice has non-sports channels I want that I don't have in Entertainment, Select or Family. If they can't do a CHOICE with RSNs and the RSN junk fee or CHOICE without RSNs and the RSN junk fee, I have no choice but to cut my DIRECTV coax and either go back to DISH or find an online streaming service that has most of what I like and continue to use MLB.TV for my baseball live/archived sports.

the HR-34 Genie system sucking along with ripoff advanced DVR fees also makes a DIRECTV coax cutting decision easier.

unless you live in NY or LA right now there is no extra RSN fee. The only markets where it might be added in the future are the 2 or more RSN markets

So the people who get all of the NYC RSNs but don't actually live in NYC aren't subject to the fee or are you talking the NYC and LA sports markets?

I think it is sport market, not just DMA. I read one post that was charged the fee in San Diego for example.

If your market gets more than 2 RSN's you'll be charged. Raoul mentioned it in another thread he gets it and he is in CT...but gets all the NY RSN's + NESN & CSN NE

See the difference? Chip doesn't live in NYC or LA but he is clearly subject to the RSN fee -- right now.

He gets the NY RSN's....thats the point
He gets SIX RSN's right now. 4 from NY and 2 from CT (well New England)

Actually I don't get CSN NE, but I do get NESN plus all of the NYC rsns, so five in all.

Yeah, I'm on the line to get CSN NE. I think Scott gets it in Newington, but then I don't think he gets the MSGs.

Actually Scotts zip gives him NESN, CSN NE, YES and SNY
Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox, Yankees, Mets and Nets...
