DT Stations: Abilene, Tx
yellow - uhf 114 degrees 13.8 miles
yellow - uhf 148 degrees 7.2 miles
green - uhf 270 degrees 18.5 miles
red - uhf 114 degrees 13.4 miles

I can receive all these stations fairly well with an indoor antenna

Two Questions:
1) Can I mount an antenna next to my satellite (Dish 1000 - on order) and use a Diplexer to carry the antenna signal along with the dual satellite signal going to my receiver (622 - on order)? I'm trying to avoid string any more cable!!!

2) Any antenna recommendations?

Welcome to DTV. My 622 is sitting on the table waiting for the installer.

If you have a good strong signal you can diplex your OTA signal, but it is not the ideal situation because there is a 2-3dB loss in each connection.
