I have a dioplexor on the receiver in the spa room to share it with the kitchen and it shorted over the weekend. This melted the cable in the wall and the cable between the other dioplexor and sat input of the receiver. Right now, the cable in the wall does work for the UHF signal, but not the satellite signal, so I have a temporary cable running on the floor from the DP44 in the garage to the receiver.
The wire in the wall is stuck and I can't get it out or make another run, but that is not as bad as it sounds. We planned on opening that wall to make some changes next year, so I might do an opening earlier than expected. The Dioplexer was the one next to the DP44 that went bad. It was from EBAY, not the Dish Store :)

LEFTOVER equipment junk after HD conversion? Now what?

Is It Worth The Risk Anymore?
