Let's define what we'd like to see in a Dingo, AKA Super Duper Joey:

- Wireless connection to the Dsih, the Hopper series, the home router, the TV AND electric power.

- At least 6 USB 3 ports, supporting multiple EHDs, all visible, and an attached network available printer.

- At least 4 Ethernet ports, supporting PCs and NAS devices.

- PIP for at least 4 video streams.

- BT support for speakers, headphones and keyboard/pointing devices.

- Caller ID with caller reject features and cell phone support.

- 8K UHDTV support at 120 fps progressive.

- Named EHDs.

- The ability to print out an alpha list of everything on a particular EHD, plus a list of everything on all EHDs, with the EHD each title is on listed, of course.

- Support for all home video and burglar alarms on the market.

- Baby monitors with automatic cooing sounds and crib rocking.

- Internet capable thermostat better than the NEST.

- Phone answering and routing system, with automatic whistle blowing into any telemarketers ears, and explosions for political calls.

- Automatic door locking and unlocking of course, with full lighting control throughout the house.

- Roomba and Scooba control.

- Mind control option.

- Holosuite support built in.

- No monthly fees for 5 year plus customers.

Let's see, have I missed anything?

You forgot the ability to use the OTA dongle. I guess you would need an additional USB port.

Edit: And the little protected icons on the dvr recordings. That's a big one.

I would rather have a Super Hopper that has four tuners, one with PTAT. Also want it to have two tuner OTA built in removable module like the 722k has. That would make me Super Happy. No need for a Dingo!

Forget the Holosuite support, I'd rather it have its own Holosuite built in!

Dingoes EAT Joeys, and maybe Kangaroos, too! I'll have to look that one up.

Looked it up. Yep, but they prefer smaller, slow movers. Or a carcass. From Wiki: In continent-wide examinations, 80% of the diet of wild dogs consisted of 10 species: red kangaroo, swamp wallaby, cattle, dusky rat, magpie goose, common brushtail possum, long-haired rat, agile wallaby, European rabbit and the common wombat.

Not that this makes the slightest sense!

1. If you get drunk in the Holosuite, do you still have a hangover after you leave?

2. If you had a Holsuite, why would you ever leave it? Out of quarters? ;)

Well...while we're in fantasy mode...how bout some sort of icon on the list of recordings to denote when said recordings have been protected. That'd be really cool! ;)

Yeah...I know...crazy talk. I need to get behind simpler wish list items for the Dish programmers like the 8K and Holosuite.

Oh wait, oh wait, I got it! The ultimate fantasy feature request!

List view. :D

S. Cal RSN horrible quality???
