Digital tuners -- what do I get?

I'm looking at purchasing a DVD recorder. I have 2 options, one around $50, analog tuner, one around $150.00, digital tuner.

Now I understand I'll need a cable box or external tuner come Feb 2009 with the analog tuner. My question is this: With BHN, what channels can I get off the digital tuner cone that point? Should I be able to get the "expanded basic" channel set with my digital tuner? Would the same be true of a video captuare card in my PC?

Well if you plan on using OTA as your main tv source get the digital tuner.. If your using cable or sat, then get the regular one. as cable provides you an analog signal (regardless of the deadline) or it offers you a digital tuner.
