Digital Cable & Sony Sat-HD300 (High Def)

Hello,

Does anyone know if I can attach a digital cable input directly to a Sony Sat HD-300? I have attached an analog cable feed to the cable input and it works fine. I'd like to upgrade to digital cable, but don't have room for another converter box. Can I feed a digital cable input directly into my Sony Sat-HD300?

This receiver does not implement QAM/CableCard technology. It will not process digital cable signals. Channels 2-181 Is wat I think it supports, providing that the channels are analog. I am surprised that no one helped you out on this before now.

Seeing space is at a premium he can list the Sony for sale here and get a cable DVR to replace it.
