This comes after two fruitless installer visits that were both late and told me what I already knew being an avid reader of D* forums. Had they called the night before it would have saved time.

First pic is my fascia board. The DirectSat Installer said the location is okay but fascia board is too small. I understand. The second picture shows its overall location. The third picture shows my neighbors international package dish on his roof and my tree. Both installers that came said their's should have been eave mounted. He has eaves I have an angled soffit.

New homes here=no chimney.

Anyhow, they said it is possible to walll mount the new slimline BUT I would have to top the tree AND neighbors dish may be in the way.

SO...I believe using the dishmount slimline wall mount product they'll be able to install my slimline in this spot (minus a few inches) while avoiding the roofline, or the corner down the wall without need for a corner mount (they said the wood looks weathered).

What do you think? You are all such experts and I appreciate the info. As I said they said they can't do a roof mount with this type of tile and there's no spot for a pole mount. The "supervisor" told me there "are things you can get" (his words) to "go up there" so I assume they can charge me a little above the free installation to put in the wall mount so it is really four more screws than the wall mount they want to do.

I don't want to leave D. Must have my NFL Sunday ticket but am open to suggestions. HELP! IF YOU KNOW ANYONE REPUTABLE IN THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY I AM HAPPY TO PAY.

P.S. Should I consider a service like Circuit City's Firedog to get exactly what I want? It is $129.

why did the installer say they couldn't do an eave mount? do some only want to mount to wood and not stucco? i was thinking eave mount too but unfortunately took his word for it. they even carry the eave mount hardwarem

Can I ask for a supervisors supervisor or do they not give a damn?

there are a lot of different mounting options out there, so no... most installers dont carry every option available. i have been installing about 6 years now, and I dont think I have ever used a mount like that.
That said, you could call and see if they can provide a mount like that... if not, your best bet would be to buy the mount and have it ready for them when they get there... then you know they will have no excuse

Like Birddoggy said order the mount. Install the mount if you have too and call them out. one it's up they will install.
