Just called today and got the Roku, HDMI cable, and $10 off/12 month.
They also offered the 1/2 priced HBO etc, but I declined.

Well I just called got pushed around till I got a account specialist. Got a free Roko, 5 dollars off a month of Blockbuster 6 months, 10 dollars off a month for the inconvenience, for 12 months. All movies channels,, not PPV.. for 3 months free. Not bad worth the call.

I would really like to here from a CRS as to why so many different spiffs. I can guess if you don't have BB why would you get $5 off a month, same with HBO and so on. Say you didn't have AMC why would you get anything. But there are just so many combinations seems weird. And I have seen the play the "CSR wheel of fortune" before. There has to a method to the madness? right?

I agree with you budda,the offers are all over the place.Dish should have had offer A B and C depending on how good your account is etc.That said it's always been like that,just wish they would have a plan in place and stick to it.

USPS showed up today, no Roku with them. That leaves UPS, FedEx, or any of the three on Monday. I was I wasn't steering blind on this.

Our ups & fedex often transfer small packages to usps. That is something to keep in mind also.

Update: My roku just showed up via usps. It appears to have been originally shipped that way also.
My intentions are to hook it up to a standard TV using using rca's, at first glance I thought I was going to need some type of hdmi to rca converter. No need it does include the special rca cable needed to hook to a standard TV.

fedex delivers on saturday but not ups.

Nice little contraption I must say!The remote is very responsive for me.Placed it under the tv.Looks like ya have to enter a code for most online stuff.So you might wanna have a laptop pr tablet handy or that the pc is close by.

Now to do some reading to figure out how to stream from our network to it.Looks like there are all kinds of stuff to do.

B-Stock, but is the remote supposed to have the 3 quick link buttons? Mine doesn't.

Edit: Nope, answered my own question. I guess the cool remote is the optional replacement remote.
