Oh, come on guys!!! Dish just pretty much overnight turned into an Amazon type shipper. It might take them a while to get their shipping sh*t together. But I can't get over this. We HATE DISH. OH, NOW WE LIKE DISH BECAUSE OF FREEBIES. OH, NOW WE THINK THEY ARE GOING TO SCREW US BECAUSE WE DON"T GET IMMEDIATE SHIPPING CONFIRMATION.

The problem with DISH is the inconsistency in the follow through on what they say they will do in chats/calls

I have had DIRT fix several issues that were supposedly taken care of through normal channels in the past, hence the "don't believe it until you see it" attitude.

Roku is shipping the units. I posted it sometime yesterday. That its why they do not show up on your account.

It's no biggie if I don't receive the Roku. I just thought DISH was sending out confirmation emails. No complaining here.

I spoke to dish yeaterday regarding the roku. I never received the email so i called them again. They confirmed that the order was processed yesterday. She also said that they werent sending out tracking info or confirmation emails anymore. She said that if i dont receive the roku by friday, i should call back. Im totally fine with this. I could see my $35 credit and i also inquired about the 10 off 12, she added it and said that i should see it on thursday.
 
I called. No go on the roku....still considered a new customer (january) but i got all the premiums for free for a month..and 12 ppv movies. I already have aep pack...but the csr said it would be bout $20.00 less

I am waiting for the poll "How many dropped Dish since there roku was not shipped immediately" :)
 
They frickin only offered me "sports" for a month, I said "NO WAY!" ( I despise sports) then they offered Cinemax for a penny a month for 12 months, take it or leave it.
I said that wasn't acceptable to me and they said "That's all we can do for you, have a nice day."

I'm going to call back and really go off on someone.

I want my frickin channels back. IF I can watch some of my shows on that Roku box, I'll take one IF they will give me some credit.

Thing is, I am not on a contract, I pay month to month because contracts suck and I don't enter into them with anyone for anything.

The thing is, they don't have to give you anything. The fact that people are getting upset like this is the reason most of the time nobody gets anything. The fact is, every account is different and every situation is different. I am impressed that they are even doing anything at all. It its a business and they have to do what makes sense for them as a business. If an account makes fiscal sense to offer certain things to get them to continue doing business then they will, but if it doesn't then they won't. If you are someone who is saying you will never commit for any reason, that makes you a risk. I know that dish is not asking for commitments with these offers, but you see my point. You may not think it is fair for accounts to qualify for certain things while others do not, but at the end of the day it is a business and needs to do what is best for them.

Yep, we had Beta,then went to VHS, then started DVD in 2004ish. I have to remind my wife as she is watching Star Trek Next Gen. on BBCA that we have the entire series without commercials. We started collecting because is was cheaper in the long run to just buy a movie or TV show than it was to rent it more than once. Sorry Dish, that is why I don't rent movies from you( or anyone else), I just buy them I have them there to watch whenever I want to.

Agree with you on that one, they probably overwhelmed with requests and they have no clue how to handle that type of volume.

As for the Roku, I never got an email. But in their defense, I never called them either requesting one. At present I am in no mood to deal with Dish CSR's on the phone. Every time I have called Dish in the last 3 years or so, I never know what type of person I will end up talking to. I have gotten great people(even though I did not like their answer to my question) and I have gotten total pinheads.

And I have great admiration for the Dirt members here, they all seem like they want to help and try to help where they can. So I do not include them in with the phone CSR's.

They were overwhelmed for sure, they started getting the roku calls last Sunday right after AMC was pulled

Wonder how many will be waiting for their rokus to be delivered today..........lol. :rolleyes:
