Norman, OK
Well a couple weeks ago I was in an area without WiFi, or other broadband and was stuck on dialup. It is very hard to use SG on dialup. I tried the PDA mode, and at first glance it looked like it might be a winner. But, it did not work correctly. When you clicked on a thread to go to the first unread post it just gave you the first post of the thread.

Also there is no easy way to get out of the PDA mode.

I see on the front page a new PDA mode is going in, will it address these issues? What is really needed is an easy way to turn off all the features that take up the bandwidth and be able to turn them on easily later.

Hey Scott,
Thanks for the info. I hate dial-up, but as you read, I can't get highspeed where we live. :(

Hey, I used to live in downtown Hartford, right across from the Federal Bldg. in the Linden (one of the old, historic condo bldgs.) LOVED IT!; and do miss the NE. We're in Florida now.

OK. Thanks again.
Lisa

Nice, I look forward to the new PDA mode, I know I will be on vacation in August again and probably stuck on dialup.
