I'd like to try deep frying but cant justify the price for the fryer and oil.

At my local Kroger they have turkeys for 35 cents a pound. I got 2.

I'm making the pecan pies and the ham, my brother in law is frying the Turkey. I think my dad is bringing a baked one as a bake up, since last year was the first time my brother in law has done it right. Hoping for good results again this year and not charcoal like 2 and 3 years ago.

I've been frying turkeys for a few years. Does anyone have a favorite injector marinade recipe they'd like to share? I just use the standard "cajun" recipe found online. The retail Tony Chachere's Famous Creole Cuisine Butter tastes nasty to me. It has an overwhelming chemical and fake butter taste, so I think I'd prefer a "from scratch" recipe.

Try melted real butter or "Can't Believe it's not..." with garlic or other seasonings.
