This one has me choked up and I post it to share my love of baseball AND jazz with you all if I may.
Dave McKenna was one of the finest "stride" style jazz pianists ever born. His history is unimaginable. He has left behind quite a legacy in his catalogue of recordings. Several of his LP's featured baseball-themed titles and even had Fenway on the covers! His passing on Oct. 19, 2008 is quite prophetic.
He has been in such horribly failing health for so many years that his leaving us is a blessing. He shall suffer no more. So long, Dave. Play well for God. :river
