And while I sometimes put my foot in my mouth, I do my best to keep you guys "in the know"
Does ketchup or mustard help w/the taste?

The way its sounding now any DISH customer who calls in and meets the requirements will be able to get the deal, however the deal will not be advertised.
Of course (as we have seen) all this is subject to change... but it IS what I am hearing today.
Scott, it's not you.
They told you one thing and then they back-pedaled and told you something else.
That's not any fault of yours.
Both of these satellite companies always seem to give the new customers the world, and screw the existing ones that have been paying the bills all along so they'd HAVE a satellite company at all. -Let the churn begin.
-On a side note-
MattG and Tony, have been very helpful to me with different things lately. I'm still happy with Dish, but they -AND DirecTV- need to start treating ALL their paying customers as if they have equal value.
Well I am glad they got this worked out in favor of the consumer.
I want an adapter, and free would be nice, but this potential offer doesn't even apply to me anyways because Dish would force me to "upgrade" to Top 200 with locals (I'm currently on AT120 without locals).
I have no interest in increasing my bill by $20/month to "save" $99--a savings that would be lost after just five months and then will start to cost me $20/month thereafter. I'll probably just buy the adapter sometime down the line. If it worked on the 360 I'd gladly pay the $99 right now.
DISH has the best price still, but man, there are times I really, really hate them. They've had me as a customer for 16 years yet they don't seem to care.
Oh well. As always, thanks for the update Scott.

Unbelievable! Does Dish have two managers of equal rank fighting each other?
u don't have a very big picture on your phone..the bandwidth required is no problem for 3G
It works decently enough assuming you have sufficient upload bandwidth at your home. The 3g part of the equation wont be a problem. I use it often.
I use to use Sling on my phone BEFORE there was 3G service. Even ran fine then.
Guys, Sling works as Scott said with less than 3G just fine. I have been using it on my smartphone for years, before there even was 3G here in Ct.

This would be a great thing to give existing customers to get them to keep the service. A nice retention tool. The thing is, this tool is something different than the other ones. If you give a customer free HBO or Starz that will eventually go away. This retention tool is a one time fee that the customer can use for now on. The thing is, this can also be used with cable and Directv can't it?
