Darker picture after 811 install

I tried that and it didn't want to scan, it just wanted to turn my TV off. And yes I did the 2* thing with aux. I had to call DISH to get the code for my Sony A/V Receiver since they didn't list it in the 811 book.

That happened to me the first time I tried the scan feature. (Same situation -- I have a Sony A/V receiver.) But it worked the second time. You have to keep hitting the channel UP or DOWN buttons until the receiver goes off before you press the # button (step 5 on pg. 67). I'm pretty sure that's what I wasn't doing right the first time.

What receiver were you using before the 811? I was using the 6000 and hooked the 811 up with the exact same cables and the picture was not as good on my set. I dont have dvi on my toshiba rptv.

I was using the 6000 also.

I swapped out my 6000 with the 811. The picture was darker on all outputs. The only additional connection was via DVI. It doesn't seem to be right.
