Ovation TV Signs Carriage Deal with DirecTV
Ovation TV has signed a carriage agreement with DirecTV, which will launch the arts channel in mid-2007.
Ovation currently reaches 5.3 million customers. Adding DirecTV, which has 16 million subscribers, should provide a significant increase for the channel.
"This singular agreement with DIRECTV vaults us well past even our own most optimistic projections for 2007," said Charles Segars, CEO of Ovation TV, in a statement. "This is a valuable endorsement of our operating strategy and positions us to fulfill our goal of making the arts accessible to viewers as never before."
