DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? The cast includes Victor Garber (The Flash); Brandon Routh (Arrow); Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who); Caity Lotz (Arrow); Dominic Purcell (The Flash) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash). Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter are EPs

‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Will Be the ‘Doctor Who’ of Superhero Shows http://www.cheatsheet.com/entertain...superhero-shows.html/?a=viewall#ixzz3agoTfHL0
Doctor Who is nothing short of legendary in terms of its worldwide popularity. As one of the longest running TV shows of all time, it’s single-handedly helped revolutionize the world of science fiction across a flurry of showrunners and actors. Comparing anything to it is tall praise, typically reserved for only truly great sci-fi. The CW though has one show coming up next year that could at least match up with Who on a thematic level.Legends of Tomorrow has been in the works for a while inside the Greg Berlanti CW superhero empire. With the preponderance of characters building up on both Arrow and The Flash, it only seemed natural that it would spill out into a separate team-up show. So birthed Legends of Tomorrow, starring a smattering of heroes and villains composed of Captain Cold, Heat Wave, White Canary, Atom, Hawk Girl, Firestorm, and the mysterious time-traveling Rip Hunter. Its diverse team of heroes is pretty much The CW indulging completely in its expansive superhero universe, acting as a major test of its audience’s patience with comic book characters.

'And Then Things Just Got Stranger': What We Know About 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' https://www.yahoo.com/tv/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow-everything-we-know-and-119476340655.html
It all made sense back when Arrow was just a scrappy little action show about a vigilante dispensing justice with his bow. A few cartoony characters began showing up, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Then The Flash came along and broke everything wide open. All of a sudden, there were bolts of death and people wizarding the weather. Where do you go from there? Obviously, you form a superteam and send it bouncing through time.We still only know the broad strokes about The CW’s third DC show. “Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself,” reads the show’s official synopsis. The series is slated for midseason, so we won’t know the specifics of how the team is united for a while — but we have a number of tantalizing hints and, of course, each character’s comic book history.

'Legends of Tomorrow' Star Shares Spinoff Details, Confirms 'Flash' Return https://www.yahoo.com/movies/s/lege...spinoff-details-confirms-flash-210115484.html
Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein) is ready for more of the CW superhero universe. The veteran actor, already cast as half of Firestorm in the Flash/Arrow spinoff Legends of Tomorrow, on Thursday confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he will be returning to The Flash. He will be teamed with Robbie Amell, the DC Comics character Ronnie Raymond and the other half of Firestorm, in the season two premiere."Robbie and I will be joined on the first episode of the [next] season of The Flash, and then we'll see what happens," Garber said. Amell will not joining CW's Legends of Tomorrow universe as a series regular, though he's expected to make an appearance.Fans have questioned how Amell would remain on The Flash while Garber would move to Legends of Tomorrow, given that their characters operate as a unit.

CW's Legends of Tomorrow Taps Tomorrow People Vet as Showrunner https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/cws-legends-tomorrow-taps-tomorrow-160002452.html
Legends of Tomorrow has found its leader. The CW’s forthcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff has enlisted former Tomorrow People boss Phil Klemmer to serve as showrunner, TVLine has learned.Legends reunites Klemmer with fellow Tomorrow People EP Greg Berlanti. The two also worked together on Golden Boy and Political Animals.Klemmer’s other EP/writer credits include Chuck, Veronica Mars (he co-penned the Season 1 fan favorites “Ruskie Business” and “M.A.D.”) and Undercovers. He recently served as a consulting producer on ABC’s late drama Forever.

Legends of Tomorrow First Look: See exclusive concept art of the team of heroes (and villains) in battle http://www.ew.com/article/2015/07/03/legends-of-tomorrow-first-look-phil-klemmer-concept-art
The motley crew of superheroes on The CW’s upcoming Legends of Tomorrow may call themselves “legends,” but showrunner Phil Klemmer tells EW the team members haven’t quite lived up to the name — at least not when time traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) recruits them at the start of the series to protect the time stream from Vandal Savage, a super-villain capable of destroying time itself.“They’re screwups,” Klemmer says. “Instead of tiptoeing through history, they’re plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they’re going to screw the future up rather than fix it… It’s going to be total madness.”

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Concept Art Reveals Superheroes Galore http://collider.com/legends-of-tomorrow-tv-show-image/
While The CW (and, by extension, its predecessor The WB) is probably better known for perfecting the teen drama series, the network is quickly finding a new specialty: superhero TV shows. Arrow debuted to solid ratings and reviews, and this past season’s The Flash fared even better. Now The CW is moving forward with another new superhero series that eschews the “single superhero” formula in favor of a true ensemble. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow revolves around a number of characters that have previously appeared on the other two CW superhero shows, including Brandon Routh’s The Atom, Caity Lotz’s White Canary, Dominic Purcell’s Heat Wave, and Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold. The series will be highlighted as part of Warner Bros. Television’s big panel at Comic-Con this weekend, and in anticipation of the event, some new colorful concept art has been released online. The story of Legends of Tomorrow is put into motion when Arthur Darvill’s time traveling Rip Hunter recruits the aforementioned heroes to protect the time stream from super-villain Vandal Savage. Speaking with EW, which debuted the concept art, showrunner Phil Klemmer says Legends of Tomorrow is a show about folks who don’t have it all together:

Legends of Tomorrow: New Trailer Illustrates Spinoff's DC Comics Roots https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/legends-tomorrow-trailer-illustrates-spinoffs-232527811.html
A very fun new trailer for The CW’s Arrow/The Flash offshoot, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, juxtaposes the comic book inspiration for many of its characters with their live-action incarnations, starting with a recap of how both Oliver Queen and Barry Allen came to be the super men they are today. The trailer then tees up the midseason series and its unlikely team-up of Captain Cold (played by Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Firestorm (Victor Garber and ???), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), The Atom (Brandon Routh) and White Canary (Caity Lotz).Check it the clever new promo below, and keep an eye on TVLine this weekend as we recap Legends of Tomorrow’s San Diego Comic-Con panel and welcome the cast to our interview suite at the Hard Rock Hotel.https://o.twimg.com/2/proxy.jpg?t=H...s=Smqb9P-bw-hNP9b8dhoQD5_k-NDuO072oH2eaoHS5G8

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Is Going to Be 'Bonkers' https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/dcs-legends-tomorrow-going-bonkers-054200869.html
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is going to be bananas. That was the takeaway from the Arrow and The Flash spinoff’s Comic-Con panel on Saturday as part of Warner Bros. TV and DC Entertainment’s three-hour extravaganza.“Legends of Tomorrow – all it is is the crazy ideas,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said of the midseason hero/villain team-up. “It’s bonkers.”Fans wary of a third show in the same universe needn’t be worried.“It was important for us not to do the same show,” Kreisberg explained. “We really wanted to do something different.”That’s not to say that Legends of Tomorrow will become a separate entity from Arrow and The Flash. In fact, the first several episodes of Arrow and The Flash's new seasons will be “table-setting” for the new show, as well as their crossover event.

How Well Do the 'Legends of Tomorrow' Stars Know Each Other? https://www.yahoo.com/tv/legends-of-tomorrow-comic-con-preview-superpowers-124010580170.html
The stars of The CW’s upcoming Legends of Tomorrow may play superpowered characters, but it turns out their toughest challenge isn’t physical — it’s emotional! When the cast — including Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and Victor Garber — and executive producer Marc Guggenheim and showrunner Phil Klemmer stopped by Yahoo TV’s Comic-Con studio, we asked about the kind of training they had to go through to play Firestorm, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, etc. For Garber, it was “really just preparing for a change of life.” As his co-stars laughed, he added, “I’m going through a change of life.” https://tv.yahoo.com/video/legends-tomorrow-cast-trained-superheroes-212038455.html

When Legends Of Tomorrow's Firestorm Situation Will Be Set Up http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Legends-Tomorrow-Firestorm-Situation-Set-Up-73010.html
When speaking to Victor Garber at the Legends of Tomorrow press room during Comic-Con this past weekend, one of the questions addressed is one that's been on fans' minds since we learned of Firestorm's involvement in the CW spinoff. Victor Garber is a lead, which means Martin Stein will be around, serving as one half of the fiery character. But Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond is not among the new characters. What gives? Unfortunately, Victor Garber couldn't give us that answer, but he was able to confirm when we'll have it, and it's sooner than you might think! After expressing his his joy and amusement at getting to work with Robbie Amell, Victor Garber was asked how things would work in Legends of Tomorrow. Here's the exchange...

‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow': Ray Palmer/Atom’s Team Role Explained http://screenrant.com/dc-legends-tomorrow-atom-ray-palmer-role/
When Arrow and The Flash return to The CW with all-new adventures, the two comic book shows will being doing much more than just focusing on their own narratives; they’ll also be building the hype for The CW’s next DC comic book show, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. While Arrow and The Flash both make it clear who leads the shows – Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen and Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen, respectively – Legends of Tomorrow is taking a different approach by forming a brand new team of heroes and villains. At the time of writing this, it hasn’t been made clear who will lead the group or hog a little more of the spotlight than the others. However, given the character’s role in the CW universe (and his personality), many fans believe it may be Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer, a.k.a. Atom, who leads the team on its various missions.

‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Casts Hawkman for ‘Arrow’ and ‘Flash’ Crossover Arc https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/dc-legends-tomorrow-finds-hawkman-arrow-flash-crossover-190017382.html
Hawkman is taking flight at The CW. Falk Hentschel will play the DC Comics hero, also known as Carter Hall, in next season’s crossover episodes of “Arrow” and “The Flash,” before continuing the role in superhero spinoff series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” which will bow at midseason.Carter Hall is the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to be reborn throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders (aka Hawkgirl, played Ciara Renée). Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as Hawkman.Renée made her first on-screen appearance as Kendra in the season one finale of “The Flash,” while other members of the “Legends” roster have previously been introduced via “Arrow” and “The Flash,” including one half of Firestorm, Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Newcomers to the shared universe, Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh) and Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) round out the eclectic team. The CW’s two existing superhero shows will help establish the spinoff and its characters through crossover episodes that will be utilized as a kind of backdoor pilot for “Legends” before its midseason debut.

Meet the New Characters in LEGENDS OF TOMORROW http://collider.com/dc-tv-shows/
The DC Comics Television Universe has been gaining more and more momentum with its current run of successful series on The CW network, which includes Arrow and The Flash for the moment. Following these two titans, The CW has announced that a new spinoff series, entitled DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, will air in 2016 which will follow the time-traveling adventures of several heroes and villains, both those previously seen on screen in Arrow and The Flash and those new to audiences. .

'Legends of Tomorrow' Spills 7 Teases http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/arrow-flash-legends-tomorrow-supergirl-814747
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg and 'Legends' star Dominic Purcell tease what's to come on the DC shows. The DC superhero universe is set to go through a major expansion this season with CBS' Supergirl and The CW's Legends of Tomorrow joining already-established CW shows Arrow and Flash, and Fox's Gotham. While Fox's Batman prequel has thus far remained an island of sorts, the other three dramas all hail from the same producers — Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, among others, with the hint of cross-network connectivity all but a given (despite CBS boss Nina Tassler's remarks)."The highest priority right now is getting the new show launched, and making sure the quality of the old shows stays where it is," Kreisberg told The Hollywood Reporter at TCA.With so many shows under his producing umbrella, he — and The Flash guest star/Legends of Tomorrow star Dominic Purcell — shared a few teases of what's to come.

Legends Of Tomorrow: Just How Ridiculously Expensive Is Atom's Suit? http://www.cinemablend.com/televisi...w-Ridiculously-Expensive-Atom-Suit-80877.html
Brandon Routh made his debut as Ray Palmer in Arrow Season 3, and by the episode “Nanda Parbat,” he finally finished his A.T.O.M. suit and became a superhero like his comic book counterpart. As The Atom, Ray is set to be one of the lead characters in Legends of Tomorrow, which means we’ll be seeing more of that suit in action come 2016. While not at the level of Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man suits, it’s obvious a lot of time and care went into designing Ray’s A.T.O.M. uniform, but it turns out that suit is more expensive than most of us would have guessed. When asked by DCLegendsTV if there are any challenges to using Atom on a weekly TV series, executive producer Phil Klemmer said the main concern is damaging the expensive A.T.O.M. suit, which evidently costs more than a typical house. According to Klemmer:

‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow': Everything We Know So Far http://www.cheatsheet.com/entertain...-we-know-so-far.html/?a=viewall#ixzz3jyq1FhEX
The CW is expanding its superhero slate with the upcoming ensemble series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and viewers are finally learning more about what they can expect. Executive producer Phil Klemmer recently teased new details about the anticipated show’s freshman season, from the addition of Hawkman to the significance of time travel. From the sounds of it, comic show fans are in for quite the ride. Here’s what we know about the Arrow/Flash spin-off so far.As announced earlier this year, Legends of Tomorrow will star Arthur Darvill as time-traveling Rogue Rip Hunter, who desperately tries to prevent the bleak future he’s seen by assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains. The ragtag team must join together to confront an immortal threat that’s unlike anything they’ve ever seen— one that not only puts the planet at stake, but all of time itself.

Legends of Tomorrow Cast Talk Heroes & Villains Working Together http://screenrant.com/legends-tomorrow-captain-cold-hawkgirl-time-travel/
While Marvel is slaying box office numbers, DC has been steadily taking over the airwaves. With three shows already on the air – Arrow and The Flash on CW and Gotham on FOX, and one more set to premiere this month – Supergirl on CBS – Warner Bros. Television has been making diverse inroads into the minds of audiences with successful show after successful show. With so much critical and audience acclaim for DC’s extended universe on television, the only true option is to produce more shows.Legends of Tomorrow, the upcoming mini-series event spun off from Arrow and The Flash, stars Arrowverse regulars Victor Garber (Argo) as Dr. Martin Stein a.k.a. one half of the hero Firestorm, Caity Lotz (Mad Men) as Sara Lance a.k.a. The Canary, Dominic Purcell (Prison Break) as Mick Rory a.k.a. Heat Wave, Wentworth Miller (The Loft) as Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold, and Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) as Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom. Joining the crew are Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who) as Rip Hunter, relative newcomer Ciara Renée as Hawkgirl, and Casper Crump (next year’s Tarzan) as the villainous Vandal Savage. Now DCTV has released a new video featuring interviews with the cast and crew that gives a bit of insight into the direction Legends of Tomorrow is set to take. While none of the show footage was any different from the six-minute preview that was released earlier this year, the video does give us hints about what to expect when the series makes its debut.

‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Kicks off Filming with “Massive” Fight Scene http://collider.com/legends-of-tomorrow-starts-filming-with-massive-fight-scene/
As excited as I am for The Flash and Arrow to return to the CW, I’m super curious about DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The spin-off features a hodgepodge of characters who will be fighting crime through time, which is a concept that could go very right or very wrong. But the cast (Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darvill, Ciara Renée, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller, Falk Hentschel) is kickass, so I’m hopeful. The mid-season show has also apparently just started filming, and according to a tweet from writer Marc Guggenheim, it looks like it will be a 2-part (2 hour?) premiere, directed by Glen Winter. Caity Lotz also confirmed on Twitter:And then both of them shared a ton of table read pics. Bonus fan points if you can name everyone featured in all of these images below. Legends of Tomorrow is set to premiere in 2016 on the CW, and here’s a behind-the-scenes clip that also features Diggle’s new duds.
