CW Affiliation changes in Norfolk and other cities

I know nothing probably changed but any rumors of them adding CW in the affected markets?

This is probably a WAVY /WVBT issue but I noticed for 43-2 my guide says "regular schedule " no actual data.

I checked fios app and they have info loaded

WVBTDT2 isn't in the OTA database, it's a victim of the having a real TMS/Gracenote stationId below 65535 (0xffff) issue. Those are stuck in their 2009 states, including entries that were inactive at the time they hit the limit.

Long story short, during the pre-transition days WVBT had a local weather channel on 43.2, but dropped it in 2007 because LIN was too lazy/cheap to comply with the E/I and EAS requirements for subchannels. So when that 65535 cutoff hit in 2009, the entry for WVBTDT2 (49031) was inactive.

this one has an antenna which i think you mentioned on AVS to get WVEC-13 sub channels

walmart-

GE Crystal Amplified HDTV Antenna, 50-mile Range, VHF UHF 1080P 4K, Black, 48732

WVEC plans to leave VHF 11 for UHF 35 by the end of the year. Unless there's something you really want to watch on True Crime Network, Outlaw, The365 or Quest, you might be better off waiting a few months.

43-2 is black screen no picture.
43-1 works
43-3 works
43-4 works

Also can't see signal strengths

Well tried switching to the flat one (bb link) and even tho it said 80 mile range was worse and didn't get any signal...

Any indoor antenna claiming an 80+ mile range is BS. Anything more than 40 usually requires an attic or outdoor antenna, and line of sight reception tends to drop off at around 70 miles. Many of them use diameters instead of the radius, so in reality the distance is half of what they list. Them not listing the actual dB gain and frequency range in the specs is a red flag too.

That GE antenna might be better as it has actual VHF dipoles you can extend and rotate it to face the tower.

Positioning/location is also everything when it comes to VHF reception, putting it near other electronics or electric outlets likely creates noise interference.
