Since I seem to be the most techy and up to date guy in our HSP I got the luxury to install a customer purchased SWM8 set up. (We are not a SWM Market yet, so no training yet) With the info posted here it was definitely a breeze and I can not wait till D* starts to roll these out to us.
The Set up, 2 Story house. Prewired with 1 line to each room. Customer had 4 HD/DVR's (HR20/HR21) and running 2nd lines was not an option. 2 RG6 to outside, 1 was used for Time Warner Internet and VOIP, so left us with 1 line to use for Sat.
Over all the installation was cake minus the tricky location the dish had to go for LOS and roof pitch. Total cable run to the furthest receiver was about 180'. Simply resetting the HDDVR's once the install was complete, recognized the SWM8 was inline. He was a nice guy and helped out where he could, it was definitely appreciated. The install probally took longer as we chatted alot lol.
Anyways with the customers permission here are pics of the install (he is a long time reader, never a poster)
