So because of the nice people in this forum, I called Customer Dis-Service and asked for the Cinemax promotion – a penny per year for two years. Since I never subscribed to that service before, the rep said no problem. Cool, I thought!
When I checked my bill online, I saw that that very “competent” rep had signed me up for a three month preview free as opposed to the penny offer. I immediately called support again and demanded my penny offer as promised. Well, they said, since I had Cinemax “before” (the free three-month preview), I was ineligible for the penny promotion! I countered that I should not be denied the promotion since it was the REP’S fault, not mine. I never had Cinemax before. After some yelling and screaming and supervisors, I was able to get the promotion again.
A few days after that, my statement online no longer had the penny offer and had the three-month one again! They would always “fix” it, but the three month offer kept re-appearing. Three or four times! The last time I called to remedy it, some “supervisor” with a really bad accent said they had no record of me every having the penny offer and could not do anything more for me!
My question: does anyone have a working Charlie e-mail? I am so incensed over this.
