Current max. EHD size?

Hi folks. I found a couple of old threads on this topic, nothing recent. The 1TB EHD I have attached to my ViP 211 tanked. Lasted 6+ years so I'm not complaining. It was a very basic WD My Book Essential, not designed for this application. What's the current max. size (I think I heard 2 TB?) and what's a good replacement?

I have a 2 TB and it works, and it is ALOT of space for programming. Pretty much too much to watch.

The EHD must be between 50 GB and 2 TB in size. It needs to have its own power supply, support USB 2.0, and have only a single hard disk drive - flash memory is not compatible.
