11884 V, Do I need a universal LNB or a Regular LNB?

I have a viewsat receiver and a 1 meter dish

If you have no obstructions in your LOS, you should be able to get that with a Standard Linear lnbf. I know I do, any TP above 11700 should work with a standard lnbf. Any below 11700 would you would need a Universal lnbf.

standard LNB works just fine here in Minnesota for Hispasat

Now the Cubavision on 58W you DO need a Universal

Hi kelleyga,

If I remember correctly, you are receiving signals in Costa Rica. Is that correct?

If so, it may be too low in the sky for you to get Hispasat.

EDIT: Ok, I take that back. Looks like the eleavtion is about 20 degrees. It will depend on if you are to the west of one of those mountains I see there.
