I called on 2/1 like everybody else to upgrade my 811 to a 211. I'm in Florida so I have to use 61.5 for new HD. Also I have a SuperDish 121. I told the CSR that I needed a dish at 61.5 and she assured me that the $49 included the receiver, the dish, and any needed switches. She set me up for installation Saturday. Well, the installer got here Saturday with just the receiver. He said all that E* had on his order was to swap the 811 for the 211. So I called tech support and the man told me the same. Nobody knew that I needed 61.5. I had to wait until the installer was done with the receiver before I could set up another installation. So, I'm set up for Wednesday to get my 61.5. I was really looking forward to watching the Florida/Kentucky basketball game on ESPN2HD Saturday night but that didn't happen. Hopefully Wednesday the installer will have the right equipment. He'll probably come without a switch.

I called E* today to see what equipment they had on my order. The tech lady told me I was getting a Dish1000 upgrade. I informed her that I was in Florida and couldn't receive 129. Also I have a SuperDish121 so I need a 61.5 and a DP44. She added the DP44 onto the order so hopefully it will be right on wednesday.

Same thing happened with me (in Florida). Installer shows up on Sunday at 8:30am with only the receiver (VIP211). We call Dish right away, and get US based CSR.

CSR asks the installer if he has a 61.5 dish in his truck. Installer says yes, but I don't have the DP44 switch. So CSR adds notes to the account. Receiver gets up, and running, we call Dish back, and now were fighting with a Dish CSR because she wants to send a Dish 1000. Ended up getting to Tech Support to fix the account.

Before the Dish Installer leaves he has me call dish to make sure my account has the right info on it. We get into another Dish 1000 debate till the Dish Installer gets on the phone.

On the fourth call we get a Dish CSR who has been given training. She looks at the account notes, and put me on hold for about 10 minutes, then comes back, and tell me it was a good thing I called back as I would have been charged for the 61.5 dish, and switch on (Tuesday when the installer comes back).

She fixes the account took another ten minutes. Then says your all set for Tuesday, and will not be charged.

Before the Dish installer leaves he goes outside to find a good place to mount the 61.5 on Tuesday. (will be going on a pole since I have new Roof).

Dish is coming back out tomorrow at 8am or so to do the 61.5 and DP44 switch
install.

I'm on a Super Dish here.

I hope they're not planning on charging me for the new dish and switch. I better call and make sure. I don't think they are though because when I called when the installer was still there the csr told me a new dish would be 99.95 and I told him I don't think so, that's not what the agreement was. He came back and said they would send one out, so I hope I don't get charged.

The Dish Installer returned to my house this morning, and spent about three hours doing extra stuff he didn't have to do. The installer checked all the connectors on the super dish, and noticed they were rotting, and put new connectors on, then replaced all the connectors going to the new DP44 switch. He even cleaned up the one cable that Dish previously ran which turned out to be too long in length, and was sitting on the grass.

Then the installer went to each receiver and looked at the connections, and replaced one from my 6000.

Three hours later everything is installed, and running.. I couldn't have asked for a better Dish Installer. (Thank You Dish Network).

Should I be concerned about installation?
