Crimping coaxial cables

So I realize I am a bit uneducated on this.
I know that with most cable, the installers crimp a connector on it.

However, if I wanted to do this on my own, what would I need.

would I need to use a tool like this to crimp it?

neither...what you posted was compression connectors so you need a tool for those

a stripper does make things so much easier and for the price it is more than worth it.just be sure to adjust it for proper cut.

we use thomas and betts,but have used ppc's.they are the xl meaning that they are longer and some crimpers are adjustable for the xl's and the shorts,so be sure they are compatible or adjustable

Or Crimp connector?

PPC makes the PFC-001 I assume.

where would you recommend I purchase the RG 6 Fittings Thomas and Betts Snap NSeal fittings? Also, what guidelines should I follow with Quad shield cable?

Can't remember where I bought my stripper but HIFI1260 is definitely right on about it making the job much easier. Especially with RG6 QS. Just takes a little tweaking to get the blades set nicely for a particular cable brand and away you go. I bought my RG6 QS fittings and crimper at Lowes. Wiring my new house so I bought a 1000ft bulk spool of RG6 QS and those tools have been a god-send.
